Looking for a therapist through Claude? Our connector lets you search the It's Complicated directory — 2,500+ therapists, counsellors, and coaches across 70+ countries — directly in your Claude conversation, and get matched based on exactly what you're looking for.
What the connector does
Once connected, you can ask Claude to search our directory in plain language. Claude finds therapists that match your needs and shows you their profiles, with links to book directly.
You can search by:
- Location — city or country
- Language — sessions offered in dozens of languages
- Speciality — e.g. anxiety, trauma, depression, relationships
- Therapeutic approach — e.g. CBT, EMDR, psychodynamic
- Session format — online, in person, or text
- Price range — per session, in EUR
- Identity and more — including therapists who work with specific communities
Claude combines whatever you ask for, so "an English-speaking trauma therapist in Berlin who offers online sessions under €100" returns therapists matching all of those at once.
Connecting the directory
- In Claude, go to Settings > Connectors.
- Add a new connector with the URL: https://api.complicated.life/mcp
- That's it — no account or login needed. The directory is public.
Once connected, just ask Claude to find a therapist and it will do the rest.

- "Help me find a German speaking therapist in Hamburg focusing in couples therapy."

A note on how results work
Claude shows you a list of therapists who match everything you asked for. To help you connect sooner, those who are available and quick to respond appear first — but every therapist shown is a genuine match for your criteria.
You're never stuck with a single set of results. You can refine your search at any time — ask Claude to widen or narrow it, add a filter, or adjust the price range for a fresh set of matches. You can also go deeper on the results you have — ask Claude to pull up a specific therapist's full profile, compare a few options, or tell it more about what you're looking for so it can help you narrow down.
If nothing matches your exact request, Claude will let you know and can broaden the search rather than showing results that don't fit.
Booking a session
When you find someone who looks like a good fit, Claude can link you to their full profile on It's Complicated, where you can read more and book directly.
Privacy
