This article explains how many free counselling sessions you can access, what happens when you reach your session limit, and how cancellations work.
How many free sessions do I get?
The number of free counselling sessions available to you depends on your company’s agreement with It’s Complicated. Some companies cover only a few sessions per employee, while others provide more — or even unlimited sessions. If you’re unsure how many free sessions you have, please check with your HR department.
To access your free sessions, make sure to enter your Employee Access Code when signing up. If you don't know what the Employee Access Code is or how it works, please refer to this article for more details.
What happens after I've used all my free sessions?
Once you have used all the sessions linked to your Employee Access Code, you will see a notification in your chat window informing you that no more free sessions are available.
In some cases, your employer may offer additional sessions, for example, through a second access code. If you think this applies to you, please check with your HR department.
If no extra sessions are available, you still have the option to continue counselling as a self-payer. This means you can book and pay for sessions privately at the therapist’s standard rate.
What's the cancellation policy?
You can cancel or reschedule an appointment free of charge up to 24 hours before the session starts. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance or do not show up without prior notice, the session will still count as used, and you will lose one of your free sessions.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, please do so as early as possible to allow your therapist to offer the slot to someone else.
