This article explains the different ways you can find the right therapist on It’s Complicated, whether by browsing our directory or using our free Matching Service.
Option 1: Search for a therapist yourself
If you prefer to find a therapist on your own, you can explore our directory of more than 350 mental health professionals, using smart filter options to narrow down your search based on:
- Location
- Language
- Therapy format (e.g., online or in person)
- Specialisation (e.g., anxiety, burnout, relationships)
- Availability
- Gender
Once you find a therapist who fits your needs, you can view their profile on It’s Complicated for a detailed overview of their experience, education, and therapy approach. If you think you’ve found the right match, you can either send them a message or directly request a session by selecting a preferred date and time in their calendar.
Option 2: Use our free Matching Service
If you'd like additional support in finding the right therapist, you can try our free Matching Service.
