Your availability settings control when clients can book sessions with you — both through your It's Complicated profile and via your personal booking link. Once configured, your available time slots appear on your directory profile and booking page, letting clients self-book without any back-and-forth.
To manage your availability, go to Settings → Availability.
Working hours
The Working Hours section is where you set your regular weekly schedule — the days and times you're available for bookings.
For each day of the week, toggle it on to mark it as available and set your hours. Each period also has a service selector, so you can specify which service is available during that time. You can add multiple periods per day using + Add period — useful if you offer different services at different times, or have a break in the middle of your day.
For example, you might set Wednesday to have two periods: Individual Sessions from 09:00–15:00 and Couples Sessions from 15:00–18:30. Each period is offered to clients independently based on the service they're booking.
Date-specific availability
Use Date Specific Availability to override your regular schedule for specific dates — for example, if you're taking a day off, working shorter hours, or have an one-off availability on a day you're normally closed.
Click Add Override, select the date, and either set specific hours for that day or mark yourself as unavailable. You can add multiple time slots for the same date if needed.
Out of office
If you're going away for a longer period, enable Out of Office to let clients know you're unavailable. This adds a visible indicator to your profile so potential clients know not to expect a quick response.
When enabling out of office you can set:
- Start date — defaults to today, or set a future date to schedule it in advance.
- Last day away — your profile will show you as back the following day. Leave this empty if you don't know your return date yet.
- Auto-reply message — if toggled on, clients who message you during this period will receive an automatic reply once per conversation. The default message can be customised.

Your booking link and public profile
Once your working hours are set up, clients can book with you in two ways:
Via your directory profile: Your available time slots appear directly on your It's Complicated profile page, showing the next available dates for your embedded services. Clients can select a slot and book without leaving your profile.
Via your personal booking link: You have a dedicated booking page at your own URL (e.g. complicated.life/book/yourname) that you can share directly with clients — useful for private clients, email signatures, or your own website. The page shows your embedded services and available time slots.
To find and copy your booking link, click the "Your pages" dropdown in the top navigation section of your dashboard. From the same panel you can also copy your public profile link and your waiting room link.
