Practitioners can either send prepaid session invoices, invoices after a client session takes place, or invoice for several sessions at the end of the month. It's up to the practitioner, the invoicing feature is flexible invoice to handle all major invoicing use cases.
How to send invoices to your clients
Practitioners can either send prepaid session invoices or invoices after a client session takes place. To send prepaid invoices, select the prepay option as you schedule an appointment with your client using the It’s Complicated appointment booking system. Once your client pays, you will be notified, and the appointment will be confirmed and on both of your calendars.
To send an invoice after a session has taken place, go to the invoices section of your dashboard, click on the “New Invoice” CTA, select the name of the client you are making the invoice for or provide the email address of the client, add the items you are invoicing for and any necessary VAT information, and then send the invoice to your client. Your client will receive a notification that there is an invoice to pay and can then proceed to pay the invoice via credit card or bank transfer.
Sending invoices to clients not on It's Complicated
Practitioners can also invoice clients that are not registered on It’s Complicated. To invoice clients not registered on the platform, go to the invoices section of your dashboard and proceed to create a new invoice. During the create new invoice flow, enter the email address of the external client you would like to invoice, and then proceed creating the invoice as normal. When you send the invoice they will receive an email notifying them that there is an invoice to be paid and can then proceed to pay the invoice. Once the invoice has been paid, you will be notified, and see the paid invoice reflected on your dashboard.
Accepted payment methods
Clients can pay invoices via bank transfer, credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. A flexible set of payment methods allows practitioners to easily accept payments from both domestic and international clients regardless of their preferred method of payment.
To cancel or edit an invoice, go to the invoices overview table in the invoices section of your dashboard, find the invoice that you would like to cancel, click on it, and then hit the ‘Cancel’ CTA. Please note that an invoice must be in an open state to be cancelled. If an invoice has already been paid, you will need to issue a refund.
