Pricing, invoicing, and session packages
It’s Complicated offers a flexible session-based pricing model, allowing companies to purchase counselling sessions in packages. The cost per session depends on the package size – the more sessions you purchase, the lower the price per session. Our smallest package starts at 25 sessions. Sessions are invoiced upfront, meaning there are no ongoing monthly fees or per-employee costs.
In addition to the counselling sessions, each package also includes:
- Personalised onboarding to ensure a smooth setup
- A kick-off workshop to introduce the programme to employees
- Ongoing marketing support to maximise engagement
- Full access to the HR Dashboard for real-time tracking and insights
Purchasing additional sessions
If your company is running low on sessions, we’ll notify you in advance so you have time to decide whether to purchase additional sessions. You can also check your remaining balance anytime in the HR Dashboard and reach out to us proactively if you’d like to top up.
Once all purchased sessions are used, employees will no longer be able to book new sessions with their Employee Access Code. If this happens, we’ll inform you so you can communicate the update to your employees as needed.
There is no automatic renewal, so you remain in full control of your budget and only pay for what you need. You can purchase additional sessions in the same package sizes as before or adjust the amount based on your organisation’s needs. If you decide to add more sessions, we can activate them within 1–2 days to ensure a seamless experience.

We support HR teams with marketing resources, including a kick-off mental health workshop and ongoing materials like flyers and digital resources. Ultimately, usage is in your hands – HR can control engagement by how much or little the programme is communicated to employees.
