The Invoices tab gives you a full view of every invoice you've sent — what's been paid, what's outstanding, and what's still in draft. From here you can filter, search, take action on individual invoices, and export your data for accounting purposes.
Filtering and searching your invoices
At the top of the Billing → Invoices tab you'll find four controls to narrow down your invoice list:
- Status — filter by All Statuses, Draft, Open, Paid, or Refunded.
- Issued — filter by the date the invoice was sent.
- Paid — filter by the date payment was received.
- Search — search by client name or invoice number.
You can combine filters — for example, filtering by status "Paid" and a specific date range is useful when pulling invoices for a particular tax period.
Viewing an individual invoice
Click any invoice in the list to open it. The invoice detail page shows the client's name and billing address, invoice number, sent date, status, line items, tax, and the total. For paid invoices it also shows the application fee and net amount you received.
From the bottom of the invoice you can:
- Mark as paid — manually mark an open invoice as paid if your client settled outside the platform (e.g. by bank transfer direct to you).
- Send email reminder — send the client a follow-up email with a link to pay.
- Cancel — cancel an open invoice. Only invoices with a status of Open can be cancelled.
- Download PDF — download this invoice as a PDF.
- Copy Invoice — duplicate the invoice to use as a starting point for a new one.
- Copy Link — copy a direct payment link to share with your client manually.
Issuing a refund
If an invoice has already been paid and you need to return the funds, open the invoice and click Refund. Once processed, the invoice status will update to Refunded. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method. Platform fees are refunded when you issue a refund.
Downloading invoices as PDFs
To download multiple invoices at once, go to Billing → Invoices and use the filters to narrow down the invoices you need. Select them using the checkboxes — you can select all by clicking the checkbox in the header row. A bar will appear at the bottom of the screen showing how many invoices are selected. Click Download PDFs to download them as a zip file.
Exporting invoices to CSV
For accounting and tax purposes, a CSV export gives you a line-by-line breakdown of all your invoicing activity. To export, apply any filters you need, then click Export in the top right. A confirmation modal will show you a summary of the filters applied and how many invoices will be included. Click Export to download the file.
The CSV includes: client name, invoice number, issued date, paid date, gross amount invoiced, and It's Complicated platform fees — making it straightforward to calculate your net earnings for any period.
